Cynthia La Grou: Founder

Cynthia is Founding Director and CVO (Chief Visionary Officer) at Compathos. She is also a founding Partner and Creative Director at Millennia Media Group, a suite of companies in the professional audio, recording arts and design industries. She is a global justice advocate, artisan entrepreneur, idea architect and multi-disciplinary creative professional pursuing converging ideas. Her experience includes product marketing, brand architecture, project management,web, print and media production, editorial management, writing and collaborative publishing.

  Nick Kalbach: Director/Producer/Cinematography

Nick is a California based filmmaker and grass roots media visionary. Nick's work has taken him from the jungles of Central America to the plains of Africa in projects that have ranged from archiving indigenous history to capturing humanitarian injustices. Before joining Compathos, Nick's work included freelance projects with national foundations and NGO's including the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute, Earth Train International and the United Nations. Nick's most recently Directed the documentary "Drawn From Water".

  Jeycob Carlson: Filmmaker/Creative Director

Jeycob Carlson hails from northern California but is often found on another part of the planet searching for captivating images and inspiring stories. Both an artist and technician brings passion and honed skill to every project. His work has transported him from directing music videos in Hollywood to shooting trash dump villages in Nicaragua and world class surfing in Fiji. Always aspiring to create a true cinematic experience that not only captures the essence of a country and people, but also moves the heart and mind.

  Matt Katsolis: Filmmaker/Project Manager

For the better part of a decade, Matt Katsolis has been traveling the world working in documentary film and television for clients including ESPN, FUEL TV, FoxSports, and Walking on Water. With roots originally as a cinematographer, Matt has matured into various roles, including producing, editing, co-directing and most recently having his directorial debut with "Dia de Luz | Day of Light" . He aspires to use the power of filmmaking to not just share stories with the world, but also use them as an agent of change, being a voice for the voiceless.

  AJ Neste: Photographer/Journalist

"Photography runs in A.J. Neste’s blood," noted Jimmy Wilson, Assistant Photo Editor for Surfing Magazine. "The guy has lived it his whole life. I'm not sure if there’s another person in his field that’s more willing or motivated toget the job done, and with a quality stamp on it. A.J.’s roots are as a surf photographer, but it’s his other photography that really separates him from the pack. From portraits, to travel, to photojournalism, to unbelievable landscapes, A.J. does it all." 

  Chad Cork: Producer/Unit Production Manager

Chad brings a wealth of media industry experience to the Compathos team. Chad has worked in Hollywood as a producer, assistant director, locations manager, casting director, and field coordinator with shows from CBS, NBC Studios, Fox, MTV, B2 Entertainment, Dean River Cinema, Warner Brothers, MGM Studios, Paramount Pictures, Dreamworks, and more recently the Discovery Channel. A travel enthusiast since childhood, he has a passion for learning about other cultures, destinations and corresponding global issues that affect us today.
